Terms of Service

By creating a SIGND account or using our service, you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable — if anything is unclear, email us.

1. Who Can Use SIGND

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms and consents to your use. The Family plan is designed for parents and athletes to use SIGND together.

2. Your Account

• Keep your password secure and don't share it.
• Provide accurate information — coaches receiving your emails rely on it.
• You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• Tell us immediately at hello@getsignd.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Free plan is free forever — no card required.

Pro ($29/month) and Family ($49/month) are billed monthly through Stripe. Charges renew automatically until you cancel.

• Cancel anytime from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds for unused days.
• 30-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month: email us within 30 days of your first charge for a full refund, no questions asked.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
• If a payment fails, you'll have 7 days to update your payment method before paid features are paused.

4. Acceptable Use

SIGND is built to help athletes connect with coaches authentically. Don't use it to:

• Send spam, harassment, or content unrelated to legitimate recruiting communication.
• Misrepresent your identity, stats, academics, or eligibility.
• Scrape coach data, harvest emails, or resell SIGND-generated content.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or build a competing service from SIGND.
• Upload content you don't have rights to (especially video and transcripts).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

5. Your Content

You own everything you upload to SIGND — your profile, highlights, emails, notes. By uploading, you grant SIGND a limited license to store, display, and process this content solely to provide the service to you.

When you publish a public profile, you're authorizing SIGND to display that profile to anyone with the link.

6. AI-Generated Content

SIGND uses AI (SIGND AI, powered by trusted third-party model providers — see our Privacy Policy for the full processor list) to draft emails and analyze recruiting context. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before sending. AI may make mistakes, miscite facts, or generate phrasing you wouldn't choose. SIGND is a tool — the final email you send to a coach is yours.

7. Coach Contact and NCAA Compliance

SIGND surfaces NCAA contact-period information as a convenience. You are responsible for verifying current NCAA rules for your sport and division before contacting coaches. We are not affiliated with the NCAA and our calendar information is provided as-is.

8. Service Availability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Stripe, Supabase, Google), or unexpected bugs may occasionally prevent access.

9. Disclaimers

SIGND is provided "as is." We don't guarantee:

• That coaches will reply to your emails.
• That you will receive offers, scholarships, or roster spots.
• That AI-generated content will be free of errors.

Recruiting outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SIGND's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $50 if you're on the free plan).

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, fail to pay, or remain inactive for 24+ months on a paid plan.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
